Wireless Router as an Access point

I just got my home network setup on wireless... again. I had it setup with my d-link 524 router for awhile there, but with the wireless stuff on the router was very very unstable, so I took it out and put back my linksys. I found an article quite awhile ago on how to easily convert your wireless router into just an access point, but of course I didn't actually try it until like three months after I read it.
Anyway - I did exactly what it said and it worked just fine. I configured it, plugged my wireless router into the first LAN port and then the other end of the ethernet cable into my linksys's uplink port and everything was running just fantastic.. In fact.. right now im in my room typing this to you =)

Tesla

I made a joke about my wireless and said I now wanted wireless electric to a friend:

(21:50:35) ***ioda006 wants wireless electric
(21:51:15) f0rked2000: in soviet russia, wireless electric wants you
(21:51:27) ioda006: lol.irony

yes well.. I was making a joke about Tesla of course.. and of course I was wrong. Tesla was Serbian.

So anyway.. I started reading more about Tesla today just because that got me interested. Man he's an incredible person. I didn't realize the extreme amount of things he had contributed to technology. There's a large amount of a very exciting chapter of his work that is missing and went unfinished because of his death. Tesla proposed wireless electricity was possible and even built Wardenclyffe Tower to perform the task. So yes.. there's where the joke came from. But yeah, Tesla contributed a lot more than just the ideas for wireless electricity, so yes.. I suggest you read more about Tesla
