Server4you, the company that hosts my dedicated server, has been having issues today. If you've been experiencing problems making it to my site it's because of them. Sorry. Hopefully things will get fixed.
They're one of those server companies that offers 99.999% uptime. Basically that means over the course of a year that they can experience a total of about five minutes worth of downtime. Today it was down for at least an hour so I'm going to harass sales and tech support until I get some money back or some credit or something.
hp
I wrote a letter to HP today:
HP - I love my laptop, but I suggest you include some finder nubs on the function (F) keys at the top of your laptop keyboards from now on. Often I am trying to touch type with them and I cannot easily find them. The F keys have become more used in recent years with many applications. Full-sized keyboards have separations, but my laptop does not, so I think this is useful.
I'd like to see something like the keys on the F and the J on the keyboard.. maybe put something like that on F5 since it's sort of in the middle and is a very commonly used key. Maybe something on both the f12 and f1 key as well.
It might also be nice to see something like this carried onto the number key row on ALL keyboards. It's very difficult to find those without looking.
It may seem like a trivial issue, but really it's not. Keyboard and mouse are the two main interfacing devices most computer users use and I think they should be made to work as easily as possible. I really think such things should be implemented.

Web Host Server4You.com Announces Forums
Today web host Server4You announced a new customer service forum. This move follows a long history of lackluster customer service which I believe, with the explosion of blogs and independent web hosting discussion forums, finally began to catch up wit...
