on another note after watching interstate 60.. id like to say that i HATE "fullscreen" (my copy was not fullscreen, but i was thinking about how mad i would be had it been). Fullscreen is the concept of taking an entire reel of film and cutting it down.. cropping every fucking frame of the movie so that it will fit nicely and fully onto a 4:3 aspect ratio viewing device... in other words.. so it will take up all of your tv screen or monitor.
this is probably one of the most insulting concepts in the art world. maybe you dont consider movies art, but i do. even if you don't, consider this for a moment. someone gives you a fantastic piece of artwork.. or you go out and buy one...whatever. your kid gives you his drawing of a dragon. anyway. so you have this great piece of treasured artwork.. whoever made it put a lot of time effort and soul into it. they love how it turned out and this is the artists orginal creation and is the way the art was meant to be seen. would you ever cut it up just so you could fit it in that cheap frame you bought from the store? the answer is NO you would NOT.
well folks, same goes for movies. imagine the hours.. months.. YEARS of work put into such a piece of work. imagine the manpower it took to make such a thing. imagine the effort and soul put into something so great... how could you just come along and cut it up so that it'll fit to YOUR tv and be slightly more blown up? honestly folks.. i dont care how small your tv is, you can watch the original widescreen format just fine and you'll be able to see. in FACT, youll be able to see BETTER because you'll see the artist's original vision for what you're supposed to be seeing.
so please. use widescreen.

Agreed. Who would want to watch a movie all cropped incorrectly. My girlfriends father has a massive widescreen tv THAT HE WATCHES IN STRECH MODE, so skinny actresses almost look fat. I don't understand some people.
