There are some people who believe that a national sales tax would be better than an income tax. There are plenty more who will disagree with that statement entirely. Neal Boortz, a syndicated talk show host, and US House Representative John Linder have teamed up to write a book about making a "fair" tax.

Put it out back in August.. nobody told me. As you can see there are plenty of lengthy reviews about in on Amazon. One of the most interesting reviews I've read so far is from the Mises Institute. Laurence Vance wrote an extremely in depth article about the problems with the Fair Tax proposed by Boortz and Linder. And if you know anything about the Mises Institute and libertarians you'll know that this isn't your regular old list of arguments against the "fair tax".

It's always interesting to see just how different the opinions of people can be who many might consider to be very close in political beliefs.
