The Seminar

I left on the morning of the 17th to go to Petersburg, IN for a martial arts seminar. I ended up getting there a half an hour late thinking I was half an hour early. Petersburg, IN is apparently in a different timezone. Took a few pictures on the way there too.

The seminar was pretty good. I was expecting it to be a bit better, but it was definitely worth the trip. I learned a lot of new stuff, but actually most of it was more in terms of revelations and realizations rather than martial arts technique. It was also nice to meet some people in person finally.

I locked my keys in my car at the end of the seminar. I ate lunch in my car on Sunday and forgot to take them out with me. Ended up calling a few locksmiths and then the local police department. A cop came out and helped me with my car and I was rather amazed at how easy it is to break into a car swiftly with some rather cheap equipment. The cop was not very typical cop-ish. He never made eye contact with me.. extremely spacy, thin, black slicked back hair and friendly.

Champaign

From there I travelled north to Champaign to visit Lauren. We had a lot of fun; spent a week there watching movies and playing video games. Made some good food too. Got to hang out with Lauren's family.

Home

And then I came home to find lots of mail on my desk. Yes that's right. USPS mail. How upsetting. But anyway.. I got a paycheck, a couple gifts and a tshirt from Opera Software because someone there saw my favorite apps page with Opera on the top. It's a rather awesome shirt =)
