Lauren was telling me about how someone was pressuring her to buy cigarettes for him today (he was too young to buy). She told him no; my instant response was the same when I first read it, but then I thought about it a little more.
Dare I not challenge the state and its age-limit laws on cigarettes and its refusal to let people choose for themselves what they put into their bodies?
What a dilemma.
In the end though.. yes I would still refuse to buy somebody cigarettes regardless of their ability to buy them on their own. I refuse to support such stupid drug habits and even though I hate overbearing government more than drugs I will still put health principle and the ability to set example in such a situation before defiance of the state.

i buy my girlfriend ciggarettes all the time. i've made a fuss about it before and she got offended, so, i justify it; she won't just quit and could just have someone else buy them, and i'd just rather not be subjected to nic fits or whatever will come down without the smokes. plus, i enjoy clove ciggarettes from time to time and fuck hypocracy. fuck the state too $.02
