I can't tell you how many times I hear the words "fuck the police" and "i hate cops" in a month.. but it's quite a few; a significant enough number that it really does make me believe that people are rather uncomfortable with the police presence in this country - or maybe it's just this state. A lot of people really do hate cops and who can blame them? These guys are paid with money stolen from you to drive around polluting the country with their enforcement of laws against victimless crimes like not wearing a seatbelt and such. They're the same band of thugs that help to enforce and propel the drug war - helping to fill our prisons, enhancing the power of organized crime and empower the government to create wonderful organizations like the ATF, DEA and FDA (three other policing organizations)... All the while they do this they run around with cars branded with "to protect and serve" on the sides when really they have no legal obligation to protect you from anything at all! What a load of shit. Don't believe me? Google it!; there are endless court cases to be found about the subject. Of course.. they're just doing their job.

So. You're paying for them. Your hard earned money is being taken from you and put into their pockets so they can (maybe) enforce laws you may or may not agree with. They're your employees. How do you fire them?

Private property is the answer.

The number one way to diminish the police force in this country is to privatize roads.

Road privitization is a huge issue. We have roads in this country going everywhere. Roads take us where we need to go. They transport our goods. They help us get to work. Most people (probably you) would freak out at even the mentioning of such an absurd idea. But this article is about cops, not about the roads.. so I'm going to let you read elsewhere for other reasons about why we should or shouldn't privatize roads (1, 2, 3).

A lot of people think road privatization is just an isssue of either letting the government or private citizens manage roads, but it's a lot more than that. The concept of public roads has led to more than just a bunch of people paying communally for something that may or may not be needed. It has led to the great power of the drug war, the propagation of victimless crime laws (seatbelt law) and even to things like police road blocks - possibly the closest thing you can get to an all-out random full car and person search whenever they feel like it; this is pretty close to martial law. Imagine that.. an innocent little thing like public roads being responsible for one of the first major steps toward making the public accept measures close to martial law. Public roads also create a "need" for taxation and are just another way to strengthen government control and make people think that they need government in their lives.

So.. why would road privatization downsize police power in this country? Simple. The number one reason for police presence and growth is not the presence of murders, rapists and thieves - as one might easily assume - but the public road system. There are countless miles of roads where countless laws are being enforced and basically it's the easiest way to keep police populations high and keep the government more in-control of your life and watching of your actions. Police are in such high numbers because they have something to do.. they can patrol around and do other "necessary" things on public roads giving them an excuse to be paid and staffed in such high numbers. Of course this blossoms also into an excuse to pry into your life as much as possible. Public roads give police a reason to be on the streets and thus greater mobility to be closer to your private life.

If you take away the method of deployment you can slow or destroy the deployee.

    Incredibly Funny.

Yeah right, give the road to Microsoft or Halliburton ...
