I just created an OpenID account with myopenid.com. Here's me: jesse.jessecrouch.com. It lets you easily add your own domain to create an id based on it. All you have to do is add a CNAME entry to your DNS. This is absolutely awesome if you already identify yourself with your domain name.

About two seconds later I logged into livejournal by posting only my url to my id (jesse.jessecrouch.com) and I'm now able to post comments, friend people and such.

Freakin incredible. *hits the easy button*. If you haven't yet tried getting an OpenID you should try now. Here are a couple directories with places you can use your OpenID now:

I'm hoping I can add OpenID to tywyk.com sometime soon. I don't have much of a desire to own my users, but I'd like my users to be able to own their content if they want. What a beautiful solution.
